We are very excited to announce that as of 11th November 2020, Web Essentials has a new majority shareholder in Accrescent, a US-based group with a global portfolio in Management, Leadership, Technology, Legal, Financial and other consulting services.

After more than 10 years at the helm, our founder Dominik Stankowski is entrusting his shares in the company to new owners, to shape and contribute to the success of the Web Essentials Team for the next 10 years and beyond. Our new shareholder Accrescent brings diverse expertise and a new client base from around the globe. We are very excited and privileged to be working with their exceptional team moving forward. Together with the long-term Web Essentials employees, recently awarded shares, they are the owners of Web Essentials.

What does this mean for our customers?

For our customers worldwide, nothing changes. Web Essentials will remain a separate entity led by leadership here in Cambodia and remain a proud corporate citizen of Cambodia. We will continue providing software developmentbusiness innovation and supporting services to our global client base. Accrescent’s involvement and investment increases our global network of experts, strengthens our team and provides additional opportunities for current and future customers in terms of consulting services available.

What does this mean for our staff?

The employees of Web Essentials are our most important and valued asset. Whether involved in Development, Marketing, Sales, HR, Finance or Leadership, we each have a role to play that relies on all the other roles for success. Like Web Essentials the team at Accrescent are equally driven by our “developing people” mission that is ingrained into our company culture and we are excited to see that our people will continue to learn and grow as a result of this move.

Over the last 10 years of technical excellence in Cambodia and abroad, there are many things we can be proud of.

In terms of developing software:

  • Delivering over 200 software projects.
  • Making a social impact on the ground in Cambodia with the many ICT4D solutions we have built for development organizations.
  • Running and contributing to local tech events.
  • Winning seven international awards for software we have created.
  • The fact that multiple customers return to collaborate on digital solutions that solve their business problems.

In terms of developing people, we are proud of:

  • Training more than 65 interns.
  • Furthering the careers of more than 200 employees.
  • Supporting local charities.
  • Living our values by running a clean business.
  • Proudly paying our taxes
  • Treating our customers and team members with integrity and respect.

What’s next for Web Essentials?

We will continue to strive for excellence for the next 10 years. We are not the only software development company in Cambodia, but we aim to be the best.
